Imagine another world, just like ours, floating overhead...

ANOTHER EARTH is looking like the kind of high concept sci-fi I love.
Writer/director Mike Cahill's Sundance entry has been picked up by Fox Searchlight for wide release.

I have a feeling this won't be the balls to the wall kind of science fiction that some require, but it looks like a contemplative take on a high concept.

It reminds me, in a lot of ways, of Don McKellar's LAST NIGHT - something extraordinary happening and everyone reacting to it in real ways.

ANOTHER EARTH is set for release July 20th. LAST NIGHT is currently available on DVD .
